The above is a really interesting article from an old Enfield FC programme which details Australian club Kwinana looking for English players to join them over the summer of 1977.
It also details the possible transfer of Tilbury's Mike Mitchell to Italian club Soresini for a fee of £15,000. It states the deal could of 'fallen down' but the winger could find himself in the football league shortly with then Millwall manager Gordon Jago making a counter enquiry after Alan Welsh turned down a move to Chadfields.
I wonder if any of the current Tilbury players fancy a move to Italy!
