AROUND THE WORLD IN FOUR CLUBS

EMOPLI FC look set to return to the Italian top tier they last played in in the 2018/19 season. Gli Azzurri (The Blues) lead Serie B by seven points from Lecce with Salernitana one point further back in third place. They were relegated from Serie A on a head-2-head record with Genoa who they finished level on 38 points with. Genoa's 2-1 and 1-3 victories preserved they status that season. Alessio Dionisi is the manage and his sides only league defeat this season came back in November when they lost 2-0 at Venezia - their next game is away to fourteenth place Cremonese on Friday 2nd April. 

MIESZKO FC are bottom of the III Liga Group Two in Poland and haven't won a league game so far this season. They have let in 75 goals in just 20 games so far with just two draws against Chemik Police and Gornik Konin who are in 20th and 21st place above them in the table. Their last two games ended in 5-0 defeats. Their next game is on Sunday 28th March when they host Starogard Gdanski. 

Lots of people are forecasting NEWCASTLE UNITED will be the third team to go down from the English Premier League with Fulham leapfrogging them from the bottom three. A comparison of form over the past ten league games shows the following-

Fulham's next game is away to Aston Villa with Newcastle United at home to Tottenham Hotspur.  

With just two points separating the two rivals the date of Sunday 23rd May sees Fulham host Newcastle United at Craven Cottage - Could this be a winner takes all relegation battle?         

Former Blackburn Rovers and Notttingham Forest striker Matt Derbyshire has scored 8 league goals for Australian A-League side McCARTHUR FC so far this season. The Sydney based side are currently fifth in the table. The 34 year old striker who started his football career with non-league Great Harwood Town recently joined the Australian club from Cypriot side AC Omonia who are currently managed by another former Blackburn Rovers player Henning Berg.
