The visitors made a number of changes from their 0-4 home defeat to Old Bradwell United the previous Saturday with Connor Arnold, Stuart Brown, Kai Gardner, Alfie Plumb and Elliott Thomas in the starting XI. They are managed by former Hendon and St Albans City boss Jimmy Gray.
Codicote, managed by former Crawley Green boss Craig Meyrick, included former Biggleswade Town, Royston Town, Barton Rovers and Stotfold midfielder Bobby Dance in their side alongside centre-back Kevin McManus who counts Crawley Green and Tring Athletic as former sides. Former Arlesey Town player Sam Willett also started.
It was a decent game with both sides playing some good football - Caddington got the ball in the net in the first half, but it was correctly ruled out for offside with The Cod also having a goal disallowed by the Assistant Referee's flag in the second half.
On the balance of play I think it was a deserved 2-0 win for the home side with substitute Jack Kimber scoring two goals of high quality towards the end of the game in front of a decent crowd of 78 people at The John Clements Memorial Ground.

Codicote followed this win up with a 2-1 home win over Risborough Rangers Development on Saturday with Jack Kimber scoring another goal. AFC Caddington won by the same score-line at Potton United Development who are struggling at the bottom of the table alongside THE 61 FC (Luton).
At the top of the table it's Totternhoe who currently lead with a perfect record of eight wins from eight games. They are closely followed by Old Bradwell United who lost for the first time this season on Saturday at Aston Clinton who alongside Totternhoe, Leighton Town Development and New Bradwell St Peter are currently unbeaten.
Aston Clinton and Totternhoe both have perfect records in the league so far.
